She was born January 3, 1917, in Convers. She graduated from Converse High School and married Ralph Cecil Ford. The Fords and their four children worked their own dairy farm in Converse until Mr. Ford's death in 1954. Mrs. Ford then moved her family to Shreveport, where she married Elgie Q. Lowderback in 1970. Mr. Lowderback died in 1983. Survivors include her mother, Minnie Boyd of Converse; three daughters and a son, Evelyn Ford Smith of DeQuincy, Charlsie Ford DePingre and Cecile Ford King, both of Shreveport, and Charles Ford of Converse; grandchildren, Ralph Smith and Rhonda Ebersole of Sulphur, Amanda Seal, Kelly Wise, Amy DePingre, Paul DePingre, Kandy King, David DePingre and Brandon King; great grandchildren, Brittainy Wise, Jacob Smith and Chaz Wise. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Dr. Shelton Young, pastor of Faith Tabernacle, officiated. Interment was at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield with 4 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Donald R. Miller, Dr. Thomas E. Kinstrey and Dr. Ike Muslow, and Percy McCraney.
