Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9 at Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church with interment following at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. The Rev. James Littlefield and the Rev. Thomas Wainwright officiated. Mr. Lilley was born Oct. 30, 1935 in Marthaville, to William and Ruth Graves Lilley. He lived in Alto for 30 years and was a member, a deacon and church treasurer of the Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Mr. Lilley had lived in Houston for many years where he was a member of the Pipefitters Local #211. He also worked as a rancher. Survivors include his widow, Mattie "Mickie" Lilley of Alto, Texas; daughters, Karen Ann Bass of Porter, Texas; three brothers, Waple Lilley of Natchitoches, Harold Gene Lilley of Robeline and Nollon Lilley of Pleasant Hill.
