All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Virginia Lilly A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31, in Noel Memorial United Methodist Church, for Miss Madeline Virginia Lilly, 64, of Shreveport, who died Sunday, in Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. A native of Marthaville, Miss Lilly was a retired school teacher, having taught in Bossier and Sabine parishes, for more than 40 years. Officiating at the service was Dr. Benedict Galloway, and Dr. Albert Trickett, both of Noel Methodist Church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Betty Huffman of Richardson, Tex.; a brother, W. G. Lilly of Florien, and several other relatives. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Hematology Department of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, in Shreveport.
