All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Cheryl Kay Naylor Lilly Funeral services for Mrs. Cheryl Kay Lilly, 42, of College Station, Texas, were held Jan. 11, 1994, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. The Rev Maxwell Loftis officiated. Burial was in the College Station Cemetery, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Lilly was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Jean Russell Marz. Mrs. Lilly died Sunday morning at her home. Survivors include her husband, John M. Lilly of College Station; two daughters, Beverly Kay Lilly, and Tina Elizabeth Lilly, both of College Station; three brothers, John E. Naylor Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, Robert Glenn Naylor of Bellaire, and James Leonard Marz of Houston; and her father and stepmother, John E. and Mary Naylor of Katy; two nieces, Bonnie, and Chrissie Naylor of Bellaire; and two nephews, Jeffrey, and Jason Naylor of Lake Jackson. Cheryl Kay had many friends and relatives in Sabine Parish. Among the relatives are her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Anderson of Noble. Mrs. Lilly was born in Houston, and moved to College Station in 1970. Mrs. Lilly was an administrative secretary for St. Joseph Foundation at St. Joseph Hospital. She spent 14 years as an administrative secretary, with the Bryan Fire Department. She received a bachelor degree in animal science in 1974, and a masters degree in agricultural and animal sciences in 1977, both from Texas A&M. She was a member of the Honor Society at A&M from 1970 to 1977, and received an Honor Society Award in 1971. Mrs. Lilly was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America in 1986. She was a 4-H leader for the Equestrian Club, co-chairman for Brazos County Dairy Goats for the Agriculture Extension Service, and active in shoeing goats and horses. She was a member, and former Sunday school teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
