Lois Virginia Hardin Lawler Funeral services for Lt. Lois Virginia Hardin Lawler, 74, of Many, were held at Gandy Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Michael D. Henderson officiated. Interment was at New Hope Cemetery in Many. Pallbearers were Richard Isgitt Sr., Dean Lambert, James Napier, Guffey Lynn Pattison, the Rev. Jerry Penfield, and Eric Ruffin. Lt. Lawler, 74, died at her residence on Saturday, Feb. 23, following a lengthy illness. Lt. Lawler was employed with the Sabine Parish Police Jury, and supervised trash pick-up on the roadways of Sabine, using her position to minister to young people. She is survived by her husband, John Lawler of Many; three daughters, Patti Parker of San Rafael, Calif., Andrea DeFilippis of Dunedin, Fla., and Linda L. Cicchelli of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Muriel Roll of Port Arthur, Texas, and Francis Griffin of Nederland, Texas; four grandchildren, A. J. DeFilippis, Andy DePhilippis, Tony DeFilippis, and Amanda DeFilippis; four great grandchildren, Anthony DeFilippis, Hailey DeFilippis, Felicia DeFilippis, and A. J. DeFilippis; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; special cousin, Margie Remedis of Many; and special friends, Kathy Cook, Billy Evans, and Billye Pilcher. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
