Lane, 43, of Fisher, died Sunday, July 22, at 2:30 a.m., after an extended illness, in the Ft. Polk Hospital. Services were held in the Little Flock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. J. P. King officiating, at 10 a.m. Full military rites were held at the graveside. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Lane of Fisher; three sons, James Ralph Lane of Ft. Bragg, N. C., Michael Dewayne Lane, and Richard Allen Lane, both of Fisher; two daughters, Debra Jo Lane of Shreveport, and Karen Ann Lane of Fisher; his father, James R. Lane of Nicut, West Virginia; eight brothers, William P. Lane of Grantsville, W. Va., Denzil W. Lane of Lebondan, Penn., Charles R. Lane of U. S. Republic of Cuba, Howard R. Lane, Larry Bud Lane, Ronnie Lee Lane, and Michael Lane, and Danny Lane, all of Nicut, W. Va.; four sisters, Jean Sears of Fairmont, W. Va., Ruth Ann Larson of Howaire, W. Va., Nancy Stemple of Kingwood, W. Va., and Brenda Sue Starcher of Zansville, Ohio.
