Erral Laney

  Erral Laney, a native of Mansfield, died suddenly, at his home
in Baton Rouge, Sunday, March 5. Funeral services were held
Monday, March 6, at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton
Rouge, with Monsignor Daniel Becnel officiating. Interment was in
Roselawn Cemetery.

  Mr. Laney was a veteran of World War II, and was a photographer
for the Louisiana Department of Public Works.

  He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Gorrian of
Kirkentilloch, Scotland; two daughters, Marianne, and Celeste
Laney, both of Baton Rouge; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Laney
of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. B. B. Joffrion of Cottonport,
and Mrs. Bob Lowrey of Many; and one brother, Ernest Laney of
Bogalusa.

  Pallbearers were Brooks Read, John Gasquet, Joe Jammaer, Richard
McDowell, Allen Brent, Tom Smart, Buford Richardson, and Joe
Lowrey.
