Bonnie E. Leone

  Vernon Parish's first 1974 traffic fatality occurred Tuesday,
May 7, in a two car accident near Anacoco, on U. S. Hwy. 171.

  Bonnie E. Leone, 58, of Noble, was dead on arrival at Leesville
General Hospital, following a head on collision with a car driven
by Levi Johnson Jr., 21, of Ft. Polk, according to Dr. S. J.
Jones, Vernon Parish coroner.

  According to State Police, Leone was driving a pickup truck
north, when a southbound car driven by Johnson crossed the center
line.

  Evelyn E. McDonald, 46, a passenger in Leone's vehicle, was
seriously injured.

  Johnson and a passenger in his auto, Frankie L. Smith, 21, of
Ft. Polk, were taken to the Ft. Polk Hospital.
