Lambeth Funeral services for Mrs. Alida H. Lambeth, 87, of Bossier City, were held Monday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport. Officiating were the Rev. George Pearce, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bossier City, and the Rev. Douglas Cain. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Mrs. Lambeth died Saturday, Dec. 26, at 8:30 a.m., at Schumpert Medical Center, following a sudden illness. A native of Opelousas, Mrs. Lambeth had been a resident of Bossier City since 1916, and was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Bossier City. Her husband, J. T. Lambeth, had died 10 years earlier. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Allen R. Stevens of Shreveport, and Mrs. D. T. Strocener of Houston, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. W. D. Young of Elm Grove; two granddaughters, Mrs. Robert Gentry of Many, and Mrs. Charles Schuelke of Montgomery, Tex.; and three great granddaughters, Angela Gentry of Many, and Beth and Dee Schuelke of Montgomery, Tex. Pallbearers were Robert Gentry, Arnold Young, Hubert Young, Carol Young, Donald Harmon, Art Cain, Bill Sweeters, and Douglas Nurdin.
