Sam Houston Lewing

  Sam Houston Lewing, 63, died July 18, at his home in Texas City,
Texas.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20, at the Shady Grove
Church of God near Fisher, with the Rev. Johnnie Rhodes officiating.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Lenis Lewing of Texas City, five
brothers, Wallace Lewing of Fisher, Arthur Lewing of Shreveport,
Jeffery Paul Lewing of Elizabeth, Johnny Lewing of Groves, Tex.,
and Frank Lewing of Hot Springs, Tex.

  Military rites were held at the graveside.
