Lewing is survived by his father, Ottis Lewing of DeQuincy; one sister, Miss Lorraine Lewing of Florien; one brother, Kevin Ottis Lewing of Florien; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Lewing of Florien; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Powell of Florien. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 26, at 2 p.m., at the Fisher Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Crocker, and the Rev. Travis McCullough officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sam Richardson, Mary Matthews, Mike Dunn, Roger Knippers, Terry Matthews, and Max Lockwood.
