Vera Verdell Lewing

  Funeral services for Vera Verdell Lewing, 79, were held at 2
p.m., December 17, at Lewing Chapel. Interment followed in Mount
Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home. Rev. Joe Ratcliff, Mr. Bill Ross, and Mr. V. C. Eason
officiated.

  Mrs. Lewing passed away December 14, at Heritage Manor #1
Nursing Home.

  She is survived by two sons, Ruel Lewing, and Milton Lewing,
both of Many; two daughters, Melba Jean Burlinson of Austin,
Texas, and Lorinda Gayle Simpson of Bossier City; two sisters,
Mable Grafton of Plainview, and Myrtle White of Colorado Springs,
Colorado; three brothers, Tilton Masters of Florien, Ray Masters
of Hornbeck, John Billy Masters, also of Hornbeck; fourteen
grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Greenville Lewing
Sr.; and one son, Hoyt Greenville Lewing Jr.

  Pallbearers included James Lewing, Russ Guilott, Shane Simpson,
Butch Dowden, Doug Lewing, Junior Tedder, Brandy Simpson
(alternate).
