"Lou" Lewing - April 14, 1988 Services for Mr. K. "Lou" Lewing, 53, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 11 at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Donnie Paul Lewis officiated. Burial was at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. Lewing died Friday, April 8, 1988, at the L. S. U. Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Many, La. and had been a resident of Shreveport for 35 years. Mr. Lewing was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Lewing of Shreveport; two sons, Edward D. Lewing of Lakewood, Colo. and John D. Lewing of McDill Air Force Base, Fla.; two daughters, Connie D. Lewing of Lakewood, Colo. and Donna E. Lewing of Shreveport; his mother, Ethel Rhodes of Shreveport; one brother, Edward C. Lewing of East Helena, Montana; one sister, Noilene Jurich of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Frank Conley, Stafford Smith, Eugene Hamilton, Frank Phillips, Wayne Hodge and Mack Louvier. Honorary pallbearers; Dr. William Steen, Charles Meshell, and Thomas Weldon.
