Burial followed in the Florien Cemetery. Lewing, 92, of Many, died April 8, 1995, in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home #1. Survivors include her son, Harold Floyd Lewing of Monroe; two daughters, Juanita Ross of Many, and Patsy Cooper of Lufkin, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Pat Lewing; and grandson, Duke Cooper. She was born on March 3, 1903, in Old Loring, La., to General Lee Derr and Melissa Hodge.
