Claude W. Lewing

  Funeral services for Claude W. Lewing, age 67, who died Oct. 26,
was conducted at Lewing Chapel at 2 p.m., Oct. 29, with Rev. Sam
Strickland, and Rev. W. W. Prothro officiating. Interment was in
Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were nephews.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Claude Lewing of Shreveport; two
sons, Edward C., and Kenneth W. Lewing, both of Shreveport; four
daughters, Mrs. Irene Haenel of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Ethel N.
Wells of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Claude Evelyn Perdew of Clanton, Ohio,
Mrs. Helen Virginia Deshotel of New Orleans; eight brothers,
Floyd, Don, Granville, Con, Hoyt, Lester, and Cleveland Lewing,
all of Many, and Aud Lewing of Center, Texas; five sisters, Mrs.
Maud Bounds, Mrs. Ocie Hammons, Mrs. Elsie Adams, Mrs. Valley
Tedder, and Mrs. Effie Conour, all of Many; 18 grandchildren; and
six great grandchildren.
