Joseph Lewis Lynch

  A fifteen year old black youth drowned on Toledo Bend Lake on
Monday, June 16, at 4:45 p.m., according to the Sabine Parish
Sheriff's Dept.

  The body of Joseph Lewis Lynch of Zwolle was recovered shortly
after 6:45 p.m., near the Sammy Gill Bridge on Highway 482, in 18
feet of water. The body was recovered by deputies, who were
running drags in the area, and diving.

  Lynch was swimming with three other youths at the time of the
accident. According to witnesses, Lynch was attempting to swim
from one end of the bridge to the other.

  A student of Zwolle High School, Lynch is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis Lynch of Zwolle.
