She was a lifelong resident of Hornbeck. She was a member of Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church, and she was the harmonica player for the Southern Drifters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Oct. 2, at First Baptist Church in Anacoco, with interment following at Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Carney Burns, and the Rev. Durhl Davis officiated. Survivors include one son, Elmer Lewing of Stonewall; four daughters, Bernice Graves of Dallas, Texas, Jane Westfall of Anacoco, Linda Sue Westfall of Quitman, and Judy Risbey of Houston, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Lewing; three sons, Earl Lewing, Melvin Lewing, and Edward Lewing; and daughter, Eva Cobb. Labby Memorial Funeral Home, Leesville, La.
