All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Elma Lea Speight Langton Mrs. Elma Lea Speight Langton, 82, died March 28, 1989, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many, after a lengthy illness. Services were held at the Little Flock Baptist Church, on Friday, March 31, at 2 p.m., with Rev. E. E. Walker, and Rev. Howard Arnold officiating. Burial was at the Little Flock Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Langton was a Sabine Parish resident all of her life. She taught in Sabine Parish Schools for thirty seven years. She also taught Sunday School at the Little Flock Baptist Church for forty four years. She was a member of the Delta Cappa Gamma Sorority. Survivors include her husband, Adrian Langton of Many; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Van Hippler of Old Hickory, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Keven, and Patrick Hippler; one sister, Estella S. Tate of Many; two brothers, Fred J. Speight of Highlands, Tex., and Joe Lance Speight of Bronson, Tex. She is also survived by a niece, Cynthia Tate; and two other nieces, whom she helped to raise, Nell Alford of Many, and Kayren Self of Shreveport. Pallbearers were M. K. Speight, Bobby Speight, Wallace Speight, Steve Speight, Phillip Tate, Van Tate, Brue Alford, and Gordon Anthony.
