Msgr. T. J. Lennon

  Msgr. T. J. Lennon, 57, pastor of the St. Matthews Catholic
Church in Monroe, died of an apparent heart attack on Monday,
Feb. 9.

  Rev. Lennon was ordained in 1946, in Ireland, and served as
assistant pastor of the St. Matthews in 1947, and had served as
pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes in Vidalia. Msgr. Lennon was also
pastor at St. Paul's in Mansura, and St. John's in Many.

  A Requiem Mass was held Wednesday, Feb. 11, with graveside
services conducted at the Maryhill Priest's Cemetery in
Pineville. Bishops Lawrence P. Greco officiated at the service.

  Survivors include one brother, and two sisters.

  Members of the clergy served as pallbearers.
