Leonard, 66, of Shreveport, who died Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Schumpert Medical Center, after a short illness. The Rev. Louie Rambin, pastor of Parkers Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Fenders Cemetery in Many. Mr. Leonard was a native of Many, and a resident of Shreveport since 1943. He was a veteran of World War II, and a retired foreman for the Caddo Parish School Board. Survivors include his widow; three sons, Leland Vines, and Jimmy N. Leonard, both of Shreveport, and David R. Leonard of Bastrop; three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Patterson, Mrs. Argerine Walther, and Mrs. Jean Dodd, all of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Gibbs of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Oleave Knippers of Anacoco, and Mrs. Naomi Cullumber of Lake Charles; a brother, J. T. Leonard of Shreveport; 16 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joey Walther, Robert Palmer, Robert Dodd Jr., Huey Patterson Jr., James Gibbs, and Mr. Waggonner.
