All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** William Penn Leonard Funeral services for William Penn Leonard of Vidor, Tex., were held Sunday, Sept. 27, in the Cold Springs Baptist Church of Anacoco, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Floyd Haymon, and the Rev. Bud McCullough officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cold Springs Cemetery, under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, Tex., and the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Leonard died in the Beaumont, (Tex.) Baptist Hospital, at 9:05 a.m., Friday, Sept. 25. He was 71. Survivors include two sons, Timothy E. Leonard of Marthaville, and Billy R. Leonard of Anacoco; one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Gill of Vidor, Tex.; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mr. Leonard resided in Anacoco up until a year ago, when he moved to the Green Acres Nursing Home in Vidor. Masonic graveside services were also conducted by the Orange Lodge No. 319 F and A.M. The Masons also served as pallbearers.
