LaRoue, 86, of Zwolle, died in Shreveport, Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 7:55 p.m., following an extended illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel LaRoue of Zwolle; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Brown of Boyce; two brothers, Sam LaRoue of Mansfield, and Oscar LaRoue of Shreveport; two stepsons, Alfred Pipps of Baton Rouge, and Bobby Rivers of Zwolle; four step daughters, Marilyn Sepulvado of Zwolle, Arlene Miller of New Orleans, Earline Brewer of Metairie, and Henrietta Welmer of Baton Rouge; one grandchild, and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Zwolle on Friday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. Father Patrick Scully officiated. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Orin Basco, Homer Martinez, Bob Brandon, Richard LaRoue, Bobbie Rivers, and John H. Procell.
