Lowrey, 72, of Jonesboro, died Thursday night, Feb. 28, in Jackson Parish Hospital, after a long illness. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1, in Edmonds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. John Eason officiating. Burial was in the Goldonna Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Irma Lowrey of Jonesboro; two sons, Lynn Emery Lowrey of Baton Rouge, and Jerry Lowrey of Baytown, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Maines of Goldonna, and Mrs. Frank Eason of Many; four foster children, Jerry, Larry, and Billy Lambert, and Sarah Sanders of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren. Those attending the funeral included Mr. Lowrey's uncle, Walter Cole, and his son, Sheriff Aubrey Cole of Jasper, Tex.; Mack Cole, and Jessie Hughs of Kirbyville, Tex.; and a host of friends and relatives from Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Homer.
