Walter Joseph Laroux

  Walter Joseph Laroux, 64, of Zwolle, died in the Veteran's
Hospital in Shreveport on Friday, Sept. 8, at 2:15 a.m.,
following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Ethel C. Laroux of Zwolle; two
sons, Charles Laroux of Crockett, Tex., and William Laroux of
Zwolle; three daughters, Annette Dowdy of Shreveport, Barbara
Meshell of Splendora, Tex., and Sue Remedies of Zwolle; one
brother, Tyne Laroux of Zwolle; three sisters, Elvy Crooks, Edna
Sepulvado, and Mary Leone, all of Zwolle; 10 grandchildren; and
two granddaughters, Gwendy and Glenda Dowdy, who were residing
with their grandparents.

  Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph Catholic church on
Sunday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. Father Patrick Scully officiated.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
