Lucian Eldred Larche, Jr. Graveside services, with Military honors, for Rev. Colonel Lucian Eldred Larche Jr., 61, were held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, at the Christ Church Cemetery. Rev. Larche died Monday morning, at his residence on Toledo Bend Lake near Many, La. He is survived by his wife, Marce Barber Larche; three daughters, Mrs. Suzette Larche Nielson of Springhill, La., Mrs. Shannon Larche Brunson of Robeline, La., and Mrs. Deidra Larche Chastain of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanne Dare Myers, and Mrs. Tommie Sue Reitzell, both of Bastrop; two granddaughters; and two grandsons. Rev. Larche was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. L. E. Larche; a brother, Lucien Max Larche; and a sister, Emma Rose Larche Baker. Col. Larche was a graduate of Bastrop High, and Centenary College in Shreveport. He was a retired Methodist Minister, and Chaplain Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He began his ministry in Newman, Ga., and served with the U.S. Air Force at Arlington, Va., Germany, Korea, Alaska, and London, England. He was also a member of the Louisiana Methodist Conference. Any planned memorials should be sent to the Salvation Army.
