Laroux, 79, a retired farmer, and a native and lifelong resident of Zwolle, died Tuesday, July 30, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 1, at 9 a.m., in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport, with the Rev. Gerald Foley, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Shreveport, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery there. Mr. Laroux was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Zwolle. He is survived by four sons, Leonard C. Laroux of Shreveport, Joseph Cecil Laroux, Orange, Tex., Charles Edward Laroux, Naha, Okinawa, and Louis Franklin Laroux, Mansfield; three daughters, Mrs. B. E. Byers, and Mrs. Douglas Nichols, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. J. H. Houston, Bay Springs, Miss.; four brothers, George Laroux, and Richard Laroux, both of Zwolle, Oscar Laroux, Shreveport, and Sam Laroux, Mansfield; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Hart, Zwolle; 19 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jesse Whatley, William Godfrey, Bert Winkler Jr., Claude Winkler, Earl Litton, and the Rev. Raymond Mayfield.
