All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Tee Laroux Funeral services were held Thursday, March 31, for Tee Laroux, 79, of Zwolle, who died at 4 a.m., Tuesday, in Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport, following a long illness. A retired farmer, Mr. Laroux was born in Zwolle, and had lived there until his illness, about three years ago. Since that time, he had been a patient in the VA hospital, and in Louisiana Nursing Home of Shreveport. An Army veteran of World War I, Mr. Laroux was a member of the Catholic Church of Zwolle. He is survived by five sons, N. L. Laroux of Robeline, S. Sgt. L. C. Laroux, with the U.S. Air Force in Thailand, Dempsey Laroux of Minden, Airman I. C. Nathan D. Laroux of England Air Force Base, Alexandria, and Burlin Laroux, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Roger Smith, Mrs. John C. Moffett, Mrs. Bill Cline, and Mrs. Lois Foshee, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Pauline Berry, Moab, Utah; five brothers, Richard Laroux, and George Laroux, both of Zwolle, Sam Laroux of Mansfield, and Oscar Laroux, and Joe Laroux, both of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Hart, Zwolle; 25 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph P. Scherer, pastor of St. Pius Catholic Church, and Catholic chaplain of the VA hospital, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Smith, Roger Smith, Floyd Laroux, Doyle Hughes, Mark Cline, and George Dean. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Shreveport.
