Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 13, at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. J. R. Hearron, retired Baptist minister, assisted by Rev. Wade DeForest, associate pastor of First Assembly of God, Shreveport. Burial followed at Springridge Cemetery, Springridge, La. Mrs. Largent was a native of Pleasant Hill, and a resident of Shreveport-Bossier area for 60 years. She was a member of the Central Park Baptist Church, Bossier City. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edgar Largent; and one son, Gene Earlton Largent. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Helen G. Largent; granddaughter, Jeanette Largent Glenn; great grandchildren, Jason Earlton Stowell, Allie-Marie Stowell, Mary Helen Stowell, and Gene Largent Glenn; three sisters, Mrs. Nevada B. Sistrunk, Mrs. Pauline B. Litton, and Mrs. Melba Rita B. Ponder; one brother, Mr. James Cecil Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Hulon Sistrunk, Glen M. Ponder, Jim T. Litton, Andre Kurkiewicz, J. L. McInnis, James C. Bozeman, Glen Brown, and Douglas Raines. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Physicians and Nurses of P and S Hospital, and Springlake Guest Care Retirement Village.
