Ollie Ava Laurence 
  
  Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Ava Laurence of Florien will be 
held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. March 29 at Bethel Church. The Rev. 
Doyle Carpenter and the Rev. Raymond Alford will officiate. 
Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery of Ward Two, under the 
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. 
  
  Mrs. Laurence, 76, died at her residence Sunday, March 26. 
  
  Born in Hicks on May 4, 1923, she was a member of the United 
Pentecostal Church of Hornbeck and was a member of the American 
Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Hornbeck. She was a homemaker. 
  
  Mrs. Laurence is survived by six sons, Darrell Nash of 
Watertown, MA., John Nash of Leesville, Ronnie Laurence and 
Donnie Laurence of Florien and Danny Laurence of Hornbeck; two 
.daughters, Shirley Behan and Kathy Rains, both of Florien; two 
step-daughters, Ruby Nash of Burrferry and Ruth Nash of 
Kirbyville, Texas; four sisters, Beulah Laurence of Florien. Emma 
Wead of Fal, Ola Dew of Leesville and Patricia Baker of Sherman, 
Texas; 23 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; and a host of 
nieces and nephews. 
  
  The family has requested that any memorial donations be made to 
the Gideons.
