The Sabine Index - J. E. Laurence

  5 Jun 1965 - Funeral services were held June 1 for J. E.
Laurence 63 who died in Nederland, Texas after a lengthy illness.

  The services were held in Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with
the Rev. Guinn officiating. Masonic rites were held at the
graveside. Burial was in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors include two sons, James E. Laurence, Jr. of
Seminole, Texas and Joe Laurence, of Port Neches, Texas, one
daughter Mrs. Marie Caveness of Nederland, Texas; two brothers,
the Rev. J. F. Laurence of Oakdale and A. A. Laurence of Toro.
Two sisters, Mrs. Elzia Freeman and Mrs. Kate Glaspie of
Hornbeck, 5 grandchildren
