Mrs. Ella Mahaffey

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mahaffey, 87, of Florien, were
held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Monday, Aug 2, at 2:30 p.m.,
with the Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. V. I. Prewitt officiating.
Interment was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Mahaffey died Sunday, Aug 1, in the Heritage Manor, after
a lengthy illness.

  Survivors include one son, W. M. Mahaffey of Houston; one foster
daughter, Mrs. Jim Deal of Zavalla, Tex.; one brother, Walter
Gilcrease of Natchitoches, eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren,
and three great-great-grandchildren.
