Rev. Mack Brister officiated. Interment followed in the Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Mahaffey passed away Friday, April 26, at the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. He is survived by his wife, Celeste Leach Mahaffey of Florien; two sons, Lonnie R. Mahaffey, and Robert S. Mahaffey, both of Gulfport, Mississippi; five daughters, Ruth Nyberg, Evelyn Prewitt, and Mary Ochiltree, all of DeRidder, Natalie Doyle of Singer, and Alwin Craig of Zavala, Texas; two sisters, Estelle Maines of Florien, and Delphine Mixon of Shreveport; one brother, Claude D. Mahaffey of Bossier City; one grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Mahaffey was preceded in death by a son, Billy C. Mahaffey. Pallbearers were Maxwell Smith, Anthony Craig, Timothy Prewitt, W. J. Mahaffey II, David Doyle, and Scott Prewitt, Honorary pallbearers were Mike Sewell, Randy Doyle, Brian Chaconas, Roy Bernard, Tony Prewitt, Wade Laroux, and Steven Mahaffey.
