Maxey, Sr. Funeral services for Clarence A. Maxey, Sr., 52, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Good Hope Baptist Church in Singer, with the Rev. Robert McCullough officiating. Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Mr. Maxey died Friday afternoon in the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria. He served in the Army during World War II, and was a member of the Baptist Church of Hornbeck. Survivors include his widow; four sons, Clarence Maxey Jr., Jerry Maxey, Raymond Maxey. and LeRoy Maxey; two daughters, Miss Mary Lee Maxey, and Miss Joyce Marie Maxey, all of DeRidder; a sister, Mrs. Nora Lee Sherdeno of Hornbeck, and two grandchildren.
