Mrs. Jewel Maxey

  Mrs. Jewel Maxey, 59, of Zwolle, died in a Shreveport hospital Monday, Dec. 7, after an
extended illness.

  Funeral services were held in the First Methodist Church of Zwolle, Wednesday, Dec. 9,
at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Willis Dear officiating. Interment was in the Zwolle Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Maxey's body was taken to the church at 10 a.m., Tuesday, to lie in state until the
service time Wednesday.

  Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Maxey of Zwolle; one son, Guy Wayne Maxey of Zwolle,
one daughter, Mrs. John Colwick of Mansfield; her father, J. P. Harvey of Zwolle; four
brothers, Burl Harvey of Many, Lavelle Harvey of Raceland, Bert Harvey of Pasadena, Tex.,
and Luther Harvey of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Estelle Bison of Shreveport; and
five grandchildren.
