Mrs. Simonia Remedies Maxey

  Mrs. Simonia Remedies Maxey, 85, of Zwolle died Monday, Jan 12 at
Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 at St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle with interment following at St.
Joseph Cemetery. Father David Richter officiated. A rosary was held
Tuesday, Jan 13.

  Survivors include three daughters, Jo Maxey and Laverne Morgan,
both of Shreveport and Marie Wyatt of Marthaville; one sister, Tula
Malmay of Zwolle; one brother, Tom Remedies of Zwolle; eight
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson;
and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maxey was preceded in death
by her husband, Mr. Mortice Maxey; one son, Mr. Mertice Paul Maxey;
and one granddaughter, Deborah Edwards.

  Pallbearers were Joseph Ray Maxey, Patrick Wayne Wyatt, Scott Wyatt,
Kenny Morrison, Donald Remedies and Bobby Remedies.

  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to March of Dimes.
