"Shorty" Muse, 74, of Many died Friday, Jan. 2 at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Muse was retired from the La. Dept. of Highways and Boise Cascade. Shorty formerly served as an Auxilary Deputy with the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Department and as a dispatcher for the City of Many Police Department. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Many Rescue Squad and the Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with interment following at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Allen, the Rev, Lee Deason, the Rev. Kyle Clayton and Elder Fred Wagley officiated. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bonnie Muse of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lee Sprouse and Mrs. Eula Mae McDaniel, both of Many; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were David Seegers, Ernest Rodrigues, Stanley Rogers, Wayne Stewart, Owen Muse, Chad Martinez, Jarrett Rule and Jay Brumley. Honorary pallbearers were Charles "Fleabo" Muse, Louis Vasquez, Kyle Brooks and Eric Brooks. Warren Meadows Many, La.
