Mrs. Jimmie L. Maxie

  Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m., in the
New Jeruselem Baptist Church, for Mrs. Jimmie Lee Singleton Maxie,
age 50. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Loyd Davis, and
burial was in the New Jeruselem Cemetery, under the direction of
the Winnfield Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Maxie died in a Shreveport Hospital, after an extended illness.

  She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Lavern Thomas;
two sons, Bennett and Jimmie Ray Thompson, all of Many.

  Mrs. Maxie was a native of Sabine Parish, a resident of Many for
many years, and had just recently retired from the teaching profession.
She had taught in Sabine Parish for many years.
