Oren Moss Sr.

  Oren Moss Sr., 50, of Vowells Mill, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, in a
Shreveport hospital, after a brief illness.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, in the Middle
Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Rhodes officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.

  Survivors include his widow; three sons, Oren Moss Jr. of
Hornbeck, Clifton Dale Moss, and Larry James Moss, both of
Vowells Mill; four daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Lawrence of Hornbeck,
Mrs. Alice Nell Corley, and Mrs. Joann Byrd, both of Florien, and
Miss Carolyn Maybelle Moss of Vowells Mill; five sisters, Mrs.
Jewel Laird, Mrs. Pearl Self, Mrs. Lucille Rigley, all of
Shreveport; Mrs. Ruby Foshee, and Mrs. Yvonne Nichols, both of
Vowells Mill; one brother, Ernest Moss of Many; two
half-broghers, Robert Moss of Texas, and Leon Moss of Many;
mother, Mrs. Emma Moss of Many.
