Mrs. Mattie Mayes

  Mrs. Mattie Ann Dillard Mayes, 86, of Robeline, died at 11:10
a.m., Tuesday, June 10, in a Natchitoches nursing home. She was a
native of Sabine Parish.

  Survivors include a son, Willie Cecil Daniels of DeRidder; four
daughters, Mrs. Opal Carter of Rayville, Mrs. Mearl Withers, and
Mrs. Pearl Broadway of Robeline, and Mrs. Lurline Jordan of
Goldonna; 16 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

  services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, in the
Robeline Baptist Church, with Rev. Oliver Prothro officiating.
Burial was to be in the Rocky Mount Cemetery near Robeline, under
the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis, Natchitoches.
