James M. Magee

  Services for Mr. James M. Magee, 81, of Converse, were held at 2
p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Converse Baptist Church. The Rev.
James Miller officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Bobby Moore.
Burial was in Converse Cemetery. Arrangements were under the
direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mr. Magee, former owner and operator of a drug store in
Converse, died Friday, Oct. 9, at Schumpert Medical Center in
Shreveport, following a long illness. He was a lifelong resident
of Converse.

  Mr. Magee is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eva H. Magee; one
daughter, Mrs. Eva Dean Vines of Shreveport; one brother, Thaud
Magee of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Lurline Goldsby of
Mansfield, and Mrs. Vanessa Edwards of Many; three grandchildren;
and five great grandchildren.
