Sam Maxey

  Services for Bro. Sam Maxie, 78, of Florien, were held at 2
p.m., Wednesday, Mar. 19, 1986, at Red Land Baptist Church. Rev.
Carl Lilly officiated.

  Burial was in Negreet Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas
Mortuary.

  Bro. Sam Maxie died Friday morning, Mar. 14, at Many, in the
Sabine Medical Center.

  Survivors include five brothers, Mr. Cecil of Florien, Neely of
Many, J. T. of California, George of Tennessee, Cilmel of
Negreet; two step brothers, Simon Jackson of Many, and Verdy
Midkiff of Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Collier of Many,
Mrs. May Belle Jackson of Texas, and Mrs. Marie Murphy of Calif.;
one aunt, Mrs. Nola Eston of Texas; one uncle, Mr. Brady Hines of
Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and
friends.
