Stanley McCoy Sr.

  Services for Stanley McCoy Sr., 72, were held at 3 p.m.,
Thursday, November 28, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot,
La. Interment was in the Vandenburg Cemetery, under the direction
of Ardoin Funeral Home in Ville Platte, La.

  Mr. McCoy died Tuesday, November 26, in St. Francis Cabrini
Hospital in Alexandria, following a sudden illness. Mr. McCoy was
a retired teacher and coach from Bayou Chicot High School. He
also spent six years on the Evangeline Parish School Board, and
was a former president of the school board. Mr. McCoy was a
lifetime member of the Louisiana High School Athletic
Association, a member of the "N" Club, and also a veteran of
WWII.

  He is survived by his wife, Lucille Whittington McCoy of Toledo
Bend; one son, Stanley McCoy Jr. of Bayou Chicot, La.; two
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
