Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Mr. Meek passed away Thursday, July 25, at his residence. He was a resident of Lake Charles for 50 years, graduate of Winnfield High School, attended Centenary College, and Louisiana State University, and Walton School of Commerce in Chicago. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, LSU Alumni Association, Kappa Alpha Fraternity, McNeese State University Foundation, Lake Charles Symphony, and Emeritus Life member of the National Association of Accountants. He retired as Senior Accountant for PPG. He is survived by his wife, Pawnee Keelen Meek of Lake Charles; one sister, Ethel Meek of Shreveport; and one brother, James Meek of Silver Springs, Maryland.
