L. J. Maxie

  Lemon J. Maxie, 69, died in Shreveport, August 9, at 8:58 p.m.
Cause of death was due to an extended illness. Services were held
at Fisher Baptist Church, with interment at Shady Grove Cemetery,
August 11, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ralph Stevens officiated.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hessis Maxie of Fisher; three
sons, Glen of Las Vegas, Carl of Fisher, and Henry Doyle of
Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Broyles of Fisher, and Annice
Maxie of Fisher; one sister, Mrs. M. P. Franklin of Newton; and
nine grandchildren.
