Colvin M. Maxie

  Funeral services were held for Colvin M. Maxie, 62, who died in
Many, after a long illness.

  The services were held in Fisher Baptist Church, August 28, with
the Rev. Ralph Stevens, and Rev. Gerald Martin officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, with Warren Meadows Funeral
Home in charge.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. C. M. Maxie of Many; two sons,
Charles LaWayne Maxie of San Pable, Calif., Arvil Maxie of Big
Lake, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Salter of Florien, Mrs.
Herbert Leach, and Mrs. Edd Lovett of Many, Mrs. Dazelle
Pantalion of Lake Charles; one brother, Leamon Maxie of Fisher;
one sister, Mrs. M. P. Franklin of Newton; 19 grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Ed Hayes, Jack House, Wallace Lewing, Louis
House, Ernest Bush, Drew Lewing.
