All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Mavis Bosworth McBane (Photo) Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at St. Pius Catholic Church, for Mavis Bosworth McBane, 75, who died at 9:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at her Lafayette residence. Entombment was in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev. Monsignor Charles Mallet was the celebrant of the funeral Mass, and conducted the services. Survivors include her husband, Ralph William McBane of Lafayette; two daughters, Marsha Davis of Negreet, and Donna Burt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Dave McBane of Houston, and Mike McBane of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey Erath of San Diego, Calif., and Myrna Bosworth of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Carryl Stockton. A native of New Orleans, and a resident of Lafayette for 36 years, Mrs. McBane was the daughter of the late George R. Bosworth, and the former Edna DeBarbieris, both natives of New Orleans. She was a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Community. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, in the funeral home. Visiting hours were observed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 3, and from 8:30 a.m. to time of services Monday. Pallbearers were Jack Davis, Kevin Davis, Bradly Vines, Robert Stockton, Michael McBane, Jeremy McBane, Steve Burt, Sonny McCara, and Bert Sabathier. Arrangements were entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette.
