McPhearson 26 Oct 1934 - Mrs. W. H. McPhearson departed this life on April 21, 1934. She was born February 26, 1858. Born Nancy Eveline Litton, and married to W. H. McPhearson January 3, 1878, who preceded her to the Great Beyond on January 25, 1930. She was a devoted wife and Mother through all the years that were hers to minister to her husband and children. She was the mother of eleven children, most of them living to be grown, but all except two leaving her early in their lives. Her's was, indeed, a saddened old age as she not only had to five up he husband and children but he health broke under the strain an for six years she suffered intensely. Death came at last as a relief, came quietly in the night with only a few friend, relatives and her beloved daughter, who was her faithful attendant by her bedside. She leaves, besides her daughter, Miss Nora McPhearson, a son, H. E. McPhearson, both of Converse, Oak Grove community, nine grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, a host of friends and relatives to miss her. She had been a member and faithful attendant of the Baptist church since her extreme youth, had always spoken up for the right as she saw it, never willing to compromise with wrong doing in the least. We feel sure from her life that she is resting now from all the cares and worries that she was called on to endure. Her life should be an example to us and an encouragement to walk the narrow path that leads to Life Everlasting.
