McFarland 30 Apr 1943 - Funeral rites for Mrs. H. A. McFarland, age 72 years, were held last Friday at 10:30 o'clock at the family residence on East Main street with the Rev. R. T. Pynes, pastor of the Methodist church officiating assisted by Rev. C. W. Williams and Rev. L. N. Hoffpauir. Interment was in the Many cemetery under the direction of the Dennis-Green funeral home. Active pallbearers were: Jim Tyler, Wallace DeLatin, Louis Vines, G. L. White, C. A. Hart, O. A. Horn. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Rena McFarland of Many, Mrs. E. V. Brown of Salt Lake City, Fla., one son, H. A. McFarland, Jr., of Tueson (sic), Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. J. F. Snell of Emmett, Ark,; two brothers, J. M. McFarland of Waynesboro, Pa., and J. R. McFarland of Emmett, Ark. Mrs. McFarland passed away last Tuesday night after a brief illness. She has resided in Many the greater part of her life, was a member of the Methodist church and had been active in church and had been active in church affairs as long as health permitted.
