Alton H. McFerrin

  Alton H. McFerrin, 77, of Marthaville, died Saturday, Oct. 7, in
the Fraser Hospital - North, in Many.

  Services were held at 2 p.m., in the Beulah Church, with the
Rev. Clarence Berly officiating. He was assisted by the Rev.
Floyd McCartney. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of Coushatta.

  Survivors are his widow, Ella B. McFerrin; two sons, Don L.
McFerrin of Fresno, Calif., and Clyde Cobb of DeRidder; four
daughters, Helen Louise Cox of Marthaville, Maureen DeLeo of
Malden, Mass., Esta Mac McCallip of Elk city, Okla., and Learline
Monteleone of Clintondale, N. Y.; two sisters, Eunice Eason of
Marthaville, and Illa Bruce of Houston, Texas; one brother,
Robert McFerrin of Marthaville; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great
grandchildren.
