Monroe B. McFarland

  Mr. Monroe B. McFarland of Anacoco, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1982,
at 10:45 a.m., at Byrd Memorial Hospital in Leesville. He was 89.
He expired after an extended illness.

  Funeral services for Mr. McFarland were held Thurs. Dec. 30, at
10 a.m., at Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Oak Hill
Cemetery near Hemphill, Tex. Rev. C. C. Pierce officiated.
Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Serving as pallbearers were Jeff McFarland, Cecil Bush, Cecil
Rice, Glen McFarland, Tom Rice, Buddy Puckett, and Carl Mancil.

  Survivors were five sons, Louis McFarland of Humble, Tex., G. F.
McFarland of Jacinto, Tex., Monroe B. McFarland Jr. of Florien,
R. C., McFarland, Buna, Tex., Roy McFarland, Buna, Tex.; three
daughters, Lois Rice, Anacoco, Naomi Barris, Houston, Tex., Lena
Mae Bush of Sulphur; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren;
and one great-great grandchild.
